The Island of Hawaii
Mountains and tropical beauty await the visitors of the Big Island! At times Mauna Kea, which rises 13,796 feet above sea level, is often snowcapped in winter. It is also home to one of the most powerful telescopes on the planet. The coastal resorts in Kona offer plenty of sun and magnificent beaches.

Volcanoes National Park is one the most visited spots on the island. Active lava flows sporadically make their way to the sea. A view from the air can reveal lava "rivers" and awesome volcanic vents. Ranches and historic, cultural sites dot the island. A visitor to the big island would do well to plan a few days exploring the newest and ever expanding Hawaiian island!
