This award-winning resort was named to "Golf Magazine's" 1996 list of "Gold Medal Resorts. It features three outstanding 18-hole courses and annually hosts the PGA Lincoln-Mercury Kapalua International Tournament. The Village Course rises into the scenic West Maui Mountains. The front nine is short, and the back nine is longer and the most challenging. Furthermore, the Village Course is the most scenic course. Its ranking by "Golf Digest" in 1992 was 31st among the "Top 75 Resort Courses."
