Visiting The Mirage simulates travel to a tropical Polynesian paradise. The front entrance to the opulent gold and white resort is enhanced by a lagoon and waterfalls and grottos, as well as a volcano that erupts every 15 minutes after dark. The hotel has three 29-story towers with 3,049 rooms. Included are six posh lanai bungalows with private pools. The registration area features a wall-length, 20,000-gallon aquarium that has sharks, rays and other sea life. Inside the hotel are two natural habitats including a large pool for dolphins and another for the rare white tigers used in the Siegried and Roy show. Total casino square feet: 100,000.
